Virginia S. Pena is controller of Southern Gardens Citrus, one of Florida’s largest growers with more than 2.5 million trees on 16,500 acres. The company is an industry leader in advanced agricultural techniques and environmentally friendly farming methods. Southern Gardens Citrus also operates a state-of-the-art processing plant using energy-efficient technology to supply Florida not-from-concentrate (NFC) orange juice to the private label industry and major brands.
She has worked for the citrus industry for the past 16 years and is based in Clewiston.
Pena has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University.
She serves as vice chair of the Domestic Marketing Committee.
