James Toler

James Toler, director of shopper marketing, is responsible for expanding the Department’s retail marketing initiatives. Toler will lead the FDOC retail team in fostering strong and productive relationships with the top U.S. retailers while delivering customized programs to drive Florida citrus sales. Shopper marketing, the new industry term for merchandising, will interact with shoppers at every consideration point:  before they shop, while they are in the store, and after they have purchased Florida citrus. 

Toler brings more than a decade of experience in retail marketing and advertising, including positions with well-known retailers Supervalu and Sweetbay Supermarket.

He holds a B.A. degree from the University of Central Florida.
