Deputy Executive Director, Research and Operations
Robert Norberg serves as deputy executive director of Research and Operations at the Florida Department of Citrus where he is directly responsible for the collection and evaluation of economic and market data that is used by the Department and the citrus industry.
Norberg has more than 20 years of experience in the Florida citrus industry serving in such past roles as senior vice president at Pasco Beverage Company responsible for fruit and juice procurement, risk management, purchasing, inventory and production planning.
As a certified strategic planning facilitator, Norberg has led various organizations through multiple planning processes including the selling and purchasing of businesses, relocation of operations, implementing new technologies and processes and creating strategic alliances.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Science, Agricultural Business and Economics from the University of Florida and has recently served as chairman for the Economic Research and Statistical Committee of the Florida Citrus Processors Association, the Economic Outlook Committee of the Juice Products Association and for the Lucas-Bear Demand Forecasting User Group.
