Director, Scientific Research
Dr. Dan King is the Director of Scientific Research at the Florida Department of Citrus. He heads up a team of scientists and support staff who are based at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Citrus Research and Education Center (CREC) in Lake Alfred, FL.
Dr. King holds a B.S. degree from the University of South Florida, and both a Masters degree and Ph.D. degree in Plant Physiology from Indiana University. His experience includes 12 years in academic teaching and research, 17 years in commercial citrus research and management, five years with the Florida Citrus Processors Association and five years in state government (FDOC).
